If Walls Could Talk
Charlie has turned his inquisitive mind on occasions to providing talks on various subjects, and has given them to any organisation that wants to hear them. You may have heard one of them through NTSA or the Museum or U3A. He has now put together his biggest project to date, a talk on the history of the town, as reflected by the changes to the oldest building in the town, St. Leonard’s church, which reflects the ups and downs of the town’s economic fortunes.
The talk enables you to sit where Seafordians have stood for nearly 1,000 years. His historical tour gives you his interpretation of how and why the town was created. How its people have had to reshape the town after growth, plague, invasion, political intrigue, dabbling in the tourist economy, as a seat of private education to the point we have reached today.
